Our founder's journey as a lifelong Alaskan has been integral to shaping our ethos. Her intimate knowledge of the Alaskan wilderness, combined with a keen eye for storytelling, drives Northern Media's mission.
Our Owner:
Janessa Anderson is a photographer, videographer, and aerial filmmaker based in Alaska. She aims to create work that blends outdoor adventures with fine art, creating unique moments in ever-changing landscapes. Growing up surrounded by glaciers and ice, she developed a passion for documenting these elements as they are such dynamic yet delicate forces that shape so much of her surroundings. Inspired by wild lands, the power of nature, and the fragility of the wild north, she explores remote areas to tell Alaska’s stories.
She provides video services primarily for companies working in brand marketing, commercial television and film production, and environmental projects. Her experience ranges from capturing cinematic imagery to leading full production shoots. Video production services focus on outdoor adventure, travel, and business marketing to bring your vision alive. Alaska is home but Janessa loves discovering new parts of the world so say hello if you have a big idea she can help with!
